Banbury Mixer

This machine is suitable for plasticizing or mixing of various rubber or thermoplastic raw materials.

Supply scope is mainly including one set of mixing system, one set of ram system, one set of hydraulic system. one set of compound discharge system, one set of transmission system, one set of electrical control system, two sets of base. 

This machine has an integrated & compact structure and good sealing performance. Compared with the traditional drop type mixer, it is easy to install and occupies a smaller area. It is especially suitable to use in the factory with limited height.

This machine is mainly composed of electric motor, reducer, ram pressing device, unloading device, mixing chamber, two rotor mechanisms that rotate relative to each other, hydraulic system, heating & cooling system, base, etc.

A cooling system (or heating system) is equipped for the mixing chamber, rotor, upper & lower ram. It should be noted that the cooling water consumption is generally ≥20m³/h. But it varies with ambient temperature, inlet water temperature and processing technology.

The drive system of the rotor is driven by the main motor through the coupling. Reducer and coupling drive the front and rear rotors to rotate in opposite directions at a certain speed ratio.

1. Base: Including the base of mixing system and transmission system. 

2. Pressing ram system: It consists of material box, guide system, top ram driving cylinder, upper ram, material door, cleaning device and dust cover.

3. Mixing system: including mixing chamber, rotor shaft, sealing device.

4. Material discharge system: Include lower ram, top tight iron, driving hydraulic cylinder of lower ram, locking cylinder, and slideway of top tight iron.

5. Hydraulic system: It is mainly composed of motor, oil pump, valve, hydraulic elements, cooler, oil tank, instrument, hydraulic pipelines, etc.

6. Control system: 

   1) Safety systems comply with relevant national or industry standards.

   2) With manual/automatic operation selector switch.

   3) PLC has storage and data export functions, and the interface is a conventional general interface.

   4) This machine adopts intelligent control system, equipped with a frequency converter, and the control system adopts touch screen and programmable controllers. The touch screen can effectively transmit and display the running condition of the main machine, and can also set different pressure and speed according to different compound.

   5) The machine can store hundreds of recipes, and can take out the appropriate recipe in real time according to the process requirements to achieve the effect of automatic rubber mixing, and can record the rubber mixing results within a week, and check for the unqualified products.

   6) This machine can be connected with the upper stream machines to realize the automation of rubber mixing.
